About
Shea Fitzgerald, M.A., CCC-SLP
Shea’s passion for helping others find their voice led to her dedicating her career to speech language pathology. Throughout her career, Shea has focused on working with children of all ages through adulthood, with a variety of speech and language disorders.
Shea earned a Bachelors in Psychology from University of California, Berkeley, and a Master’s degree, with honors, in Speech Language Pathology from San Jose State University. She holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), and is licensed in the state of California. In addition, Shea is a member of the California Speech-Language-Hearing Association (CSHA) and has served as an adjunct faculty member at Chapman University, working with and supervising graduate students in the field. She was also a clinician at The Center for Autism & Neurodevelopmental Disorders at UCI.
She has spent her career working in clinical, educational and in-home settings, alongside professionals in different
disciplines to treat the child as a whole. Shea has gained a wealth of knowledge in the areas of early intervention, apraxia
of speech, and autism spectrum disorders. Her goal with every client is to begin therapy as early as possible, and engage
families in a collaborative process, which helps lead to greater success for her clients.

When she is not working with clients, Shea devotes her time to raising her two children and making memories with her family and friends. She enjoys being active, outdoors and traveling. Her extensive travel has further strengthened her desire to build strong connections with other people and cultures, and fostered personal development, all while gaining new life changing experiences. Shea served as a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County, and has volunteered her time teaching children abroad in Russia and India.
