Tiny Talkers & Tales

COMING THIS FALL!

About Tiny Talkers & Tales

Tiny Talkers & Tales is a play-based communication group for toddlers ages 18 months–3 years and their caregivers. Through songs, movement, books, art, and everyday interactions, children are encouraged to build communication skills in a fun, supportive environment.

Designed and led by a pediatric speech-language pathologist, each session focuses on early language, understanding, gestures, imitation, play skills, turn-taking, and early literacy. Caregivers participate alongside their child and learn simple, practical strategies to support speech and language development at home.

Children at all communication levels are welcome. Activities are designed to meet children where they are while providing caregivers with practical strategies to support communication growth at home. Every child is encouraged to participate in their own way, with a focus on connection, play, and shared experiences. Along the way, caregivers can build relationships with other families in similar stages of parenting, fostering a sense of community, support, and shared learning. Our goal is to help little communicators, and the adults who love them, learn and grow together.

Supporting Communication Beyond the Group

Caregivers are a child's most important communication partners. Throughout the program, you'll learn practical, easy-to-use strategies that can be incorporated into everyday routines such as mealtime, playtime, bath time, and reading together.

As a Hanen Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (It Takes Two to Talk®), I have specialized training in coaching parents to support communication development during everyday interactions. While Tiny Talkers & Tales is not a Hanen program, many of the caregiver-focused principles that guide the group are rooted in evidence-based strategies that help children learn language through meaningful, everyday experiences.

These approaches are designed to help communication feel natural, enjoyable, and connected, both during our sessions and at home.
